If you’re in the US, then you’ve probably spent the last several days preparing to hit the road or hit the kitchen for Thanksgiving. If that’s the case, then here’s some social media news you may have missed: YouTube to Introduce Lots of Updates for Content Creators: YouTube just released a video announcing many of the changes content creators can expect in the coming months. YouTube content creators will see changes coming to YouTube’s commenting system and analytics. YouTube is also set to introduce a brand new GIF-making tool, online Creator Academy lessons, and its previously announced, paid music service. Facebook Releases Groups App: On November 18, Facebook released a Groups mobile app. The app is designed to make managing and participating in Groups easier on mobile devices similarly to the Pages Manager app. The app is available for both iOS and Android devices.
Snapchat Allows Users to Send Cash Over App: Snapchat has partnered with Square to introduceSnapcash so users can send money over its service. The feature is open to users 18. Users can register to sendSnapcash via the setting button in their app. Registration requires accepting User Terms and Service and adding a debit card to the user’s account. To send money, users simplyinitiate a message and enter a dollar sign and amount. Then the send buttonis transformed into a green button with a dollar send. After clicking on the newly changed button, the amount enteredis sent to the recipient.
